Walk No.8 Dark Peak Walks

The walk starts with a steep ascent before heading across to a 400 year old murder site and then onto Bamford Moor, which has archaeological and historical interest ranging from the Neolithic period to the 19th century.

The launch of Dark Peak Walks book took place on Whinstone Lee Tor, on a very wet Saturday in March 2017. Lots of people came to share stories of the Dark Peak, cake and coffee. Col Wood from Everyday Adventures even baked a special Dark Peak Walks cake.
